Other Support

Personal support with study

Disability Services is not able to fund personal support for students with their studies, however, there are some options:

  • Through Learning Services students can have assistance with their out of class learning from Learning Advisors or peer support.
  • Where a student's disability means that extra support or specialised equipment is needed, in or out of class, to assist with study, Disability Services may be able to write a letter of support so the student can apply for support funded through agencies such as Workbridge or ACC.

Personal care support

Personal care support is not arranged or funded through CPIT and students will need to make their own arrangements for this. Do discuss any specific issues with us to see if there are any suggestions or arrangements we may be able to make.
