Learning Services

Learning Services is a free service that offers learning and study advice to CPIT students.

We focus on supporting CPIT students to manage their own study, and to develop the academic skills they require to complete their coursework successfully.

At the City campus (Madras Street), Learning Services is located upstairs in the library. View our opening hours.

At the Sullivan Avenue campus, the Learning Services rooms are in the building between the main entrance and the student cafe, and the learning advisor is available by appointment. 

Learning Services provides:

• One-to-one and group appointments for learning skills and academic writing
• A lunchtime 'drop in' service 12pm-1pm weekdays at the City Campus
  (for quick questions -- no appointment required)
• Group study rooms
• Online Learning and study resources
• PASS study groups and Peer Support for subject-related help
• Maths support
• An Academic Skills Support web site - via Moodle

The best way to make an appointment at both campuses is to telephone us on (03) 940 8005 during our opening hours. Outside office hours, you can use our request an appointment form to book (for City Campus only). 

As the number of individual appointments is limited and demand is high, please try to make your appointment well in advance.

Please note: We do not provide a proofreading service and are unable to edit or correct your work. However, we are happy to help you learn strategies for editing and proofreading your own work.
