Services to Staff

LLIS have developed a team approach to the support of teaching and Learning at CPIT.

Our aim is to provide an integrated service to ensure that course tutors and their students know about and can access all the academic support provided by Library, Learning and Information Services

Liaison Librarians and Learning Advisors are in regular contact with the faculties and support includes -

  • Meeting course tutors to discuss their students' particular learning issues
  • Exchanging feedback with tutors to better meet teaching and learning needs
  • Training in the use of electronic tools and resources
  • Selecting and purchasing faculty and course specific Library resources
  • Identifying specific learning needs and, where necessary, arranging for appropriate support and/or referral

Liaison Librarians also provide support to academic staff undertaking research, with the Institutional Repository maintained by the Digital Librarian
