Supporting students with disabilities

If you become aware that a student may have difficulties related to disability or an ongoing health condition, please let them know they are welcome to make an appointment with staff in Disability Services. You can also let students know about available services in more general ways. For instance, ensure information about Disability Services is given during orientation sessions; have Disability Services pamphlets in the class for all to access; or invite Disability Services staff to talk with the class about their services.

Disability Services also provides information for academic staff on helpful teaching practices to enhance an individual’s learning.

Please make contact with us if you have any questions about meeting the needs of students with disabilities.
