How can I use E-Cast clips in Moodle?

The preferred method for making E-Cast clips available to students in Moodle is by embedding the online version on a Moodle page by using the embed code.  This will embed a small Youtube quality player on your page.  You may only embed this clip on a page that is protected by a password such as Moodle eg you may not post it on a publicly accessible site.

1. Login in to E-Cast http://www.e-cast.co.nz/education/login.php

2. Click on "Ready to Watch" and browse to your program via the appropriate channel or the Archive Folder.

3. From the programme page (where you would normally download a clip), click on the "Request" button under "Request embedding code for this programme".

4. Before receiving the embed code you need to accept the Terms and Conditions by ticking the "I accept" box. 

 5. Click on "Get embed code".   You will see a box containing the code.  Cut and paste this text into a text file using notepad or keep it on the clip board if you are moving to the next step immediately.

6. You can now login to Moodle and paste you code (as HTML) into the appropriate course page.
