EndNote is a software program that will help you manage your references.
You can create your own library of references either by typing the references yourself or by importing them directly from databases, such as CINAHL, ScienceDirect, etc.
You can access Endnote from within Microsoft Word to insert and format citations and create bibliographies in the citation style you require.
Both Windows and Mac OS X versions of Endnote are available to staff.
To install the Windows version:
Windows and Mac OS X Endnote installation disks are also available for loan from the Information Desk in the library.
The EndNote Manual (753p) is automatically installed onto your hard drive when you install EndNote and can be found at:
Start > Programs > Endnote > Endnote Manual.
An Endnote X2 Getting Started Guide (94p) is also available.
View the online EndNote X2 video tutorials for instructions on Manually entering References into Endnote or the Cite While You Write (CWYW) feature.
Most databases will let you mark selected items from your search results list and then export the selected citations directly to an Endnote library.
